please suggest some citation regarding the release of vehicle by court which was seized under Section 207 M.V Act. My client is ostensible owner who purchased the vehicle only on stamp paper but not transferred in his name yet. The driver has confessed and case has been disposed. Court has denied to release the vehicle because he is not registered owner. vehicle can not be transferred unless it is released.

you can file a direction petition in high court seeking relief of release of vehicle to save the vehicle from damages and deterioration.

Thank you sir,
You have been already helping me in this matter. But the situation is such that court is no ready to accept the power of attorney.
In this case my client is blind person who was earning his livelihood plying this vehicle as taxi. The permit is also in the name of original owner. The real owner is at Khatmandu ( Nepal) and not ready to cooperate. whether transfer of vehicle in such situation possible.
Please don't get irritated with me, give a helping hand to a blind person, by suggesting the solution.
