Good Morning Experts,
I Puran Chand Resident of J&K Teh.Ram nagar,i want to know about , today i have a bill from Electricity Board.
My Father obtained a Electricity Connection in between 1994-1996 after the connection, no each payment is paid to electricity board, now i have a bill from Electricity board.
Matter is this, of course the place where the bill is sent is our permanent resident, but i leave from the year 1998, and my father is uneducated, so they forgot to disconnect the electricity, after passing 1999-2000, our all houses are destroyed and no more sign of our house there, but our elder uncle is residing there upto now.
On the Above view what you suggest me.

ELECTRICITY ACT DO NOT PERMIT BILL OVER 6 MONTHS.
You need not pay.
[ J & K STATE may not be covered under Indian Elect Act]

if electricity connection hs not been disconnected then you are liable to pay bill withing limitation period
