(Querist) 09 May 2014 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

Please let me know that is the drawer liable for paying or filing any suit under Sec 138 NI Act, if the cheque bounced is due to reason "title of the account required". If not, then what is the remedy available to the drawee or under which section of NI Act, can he file the case.

Pay the amount or issue another cheque.

What is the reason from the Bank for returning the cheque. If it is due to signature differ drawer is liable.
