Hello, my name is ADITHYA V K and I want to change my name to ADITHYA BHANDARY.
Q1) once I change my name do I have to change my name in all my educational certificates?
2) if I don't change my name in 10th standard certificate, will it be a problem while applying for govt jobs, as they ask name as per 10/sslc marks card?
3) currently I don't have a surname, Wil it be a problem when I travel abroad?

I hope you will follow the procedure prescribed for changing name. In Maharashtra it is necessary to get the Gazette notification issued mentioning the old name and new name. When once the notification is issued you can start giving the new name in all your future dealings. It is not necessary to get changes made in your past documents such as SSC certificate etc. Wherever necessary you have to produce copy of the Gazette in support of the new name. Obtain few copies of the Gazette notification from the concerned Govt Department for your record and produce them as and when necessary.

Yes, you can get the name changed following the due process, but the name in the educational certificates already issued would remain unchanged.
