National holday is mandatory or not

Dear Sir,

I'm working in a manufacturing company , we have prepared our public holiday list for year 2014 in which 26 January is not declared as holiday as its fall on Sunday. so by not considering it holiday are we are breaking any law?

EVEN IF IT FALLS ON SUNDAY IT MUST BE DECLARED AS REPUBLIC HOLIDAY .

Thanks for you valuable inputs, further to quarry i would like to add that when holiday list was being prepared we took reference of Holiday list declared by Gov.t of Gujarat in which they have not considered 26th January as a Holiday as its fall on Sunday.

Mr. Pathan, 26 Jan & 15 aug are always National Holidays and it is to be included in Holidays list let it fall on Sunday or any other days.

Three days of the year are to be shown as holidays as they are National holidays, they are 26/01, 15/08 and 02/10, even if they fall on Sundays.

You can't ignore including the Republic Day, as a holiday, irrespective of whether that falls on a Sunday.
