Nature of offence and punishment

(Querist) 12 April 2012 This query is : Resolved
My wife, her parents, her brothres have been habitual offenders and have at various stages furnished false informations in documents such as passports(which were impounded), birth certificates, ESI (ESI)cards etc. I managed to get possesion of some such original documents as evidence. Due to this I told her to refrain from remaining in conatact with them without succes.

In 1990 my wife had in connivance with her parents & brothers, in the birth certificate of the child born THEN, mentioned father's name as someone else's instead of mine. Even in hospital receipts for visits to hospital during her pregnancy and child birth she has mentioned her husband's name as someone else's. I am in possesion of such original receipts of these periods.

Now in the Voter ID (issued in 2011)she has furnished false information about her age, matrimonial status etc. There may be many more such cases about which I am not aware.
About false info furnished in voter ID, I could access info from internet from the "electoral roll 2012" site

Can a criminal complaint be lodged against her and her associates for all above NOW and will it be entertained. (Fearing legal action she has gone to her parents /brothers place and in hiding. At this stage I donot want to file for divorce as I am 56 years but want legal action as may be admissible/permissible?)
Thankyou & Regards

let her face consequences of her actions . i cannot imagine a situation wherein a wife will say father of her son is not my husband . if that was the case why did you not diovrce her then ?

if you are not happy with her move for divorce . if she has furnished false information regarding her voter id etc then law will catch with her one day .file police complaint if you so desire

Dear Gajender,

If you want to teach them a lesson for their acts, file a police complaint, and then opt for divorce.

Hi ALL
ThanQ all for responses/advises.
Here I wish to state that I have futher gathered several incriminating documentary evidence against my wife and her family members of furnishing false information,of committing fraud and of operating illegal chits funds. My wife & her family members do not know that I am in possesion of such documents.
(1) When earlier I told my wife to stay away from such members of her family for our coordial relations, she'd always state that she'll file false cases against me.
(2)Her brother sent me SMS acknowleging that his only sister has made many mistakes etc but if I seek legal recourse then she'll charge me with mental & physical abuse-No doubt this SMS becomes an evidence but can it be construed as open blackmail?
When she was with me, I had stopped giving her money (but took care of every single need of her & the house) because she'd misuse it in illegal investments and also give it to her hardcore drug addict nephew (who has been in and out of de-addiction centres-govt run, so proof is there)
I do not want to file for RCR or divorce as I have to bear her cost too.
(3)With documentary evidence available would like to file police complain citing they are of questionable antecedents and Guilty of extortion, blackmail, forgery, filing false cases, threat to physically harm/injury/death, involved in illegal activities, criminal breach of trust, cheating, abuse of and guilty of process of court, bringing disrepute...THESE CAN BE SOLIDLY SUBSTANTIATED BY ME.
PLEASE SUGGEST IF I CAN PROCEED WITH POLICE COMPLAIN,to enable strongest possible punishments and sets a precedent as a deterent for others from resorting to such means of gender biased misuse/abuse of women's right
Regards
