Dear Experts,
Last year in april in a very small road accident due to both side mistake my car hit another car although the damage was nothing but the lady filed a case against me next day and accordingly we proceded for bail from mumbai court.
eversince i didnt receive any info from police about next hearing , all are saying such are small things and court might have dismissed the case.
What should i do ? should i wait and watch or find out the status ?
i afraid if i dig out the old things i might get into trouble
please advise

When the charge sheet would be submitted then only you need to appear in the case.
The Police is supposed to send you the notice of submission of charge sheet.

Thanks Dear Experts,
Immediately after the FIR , Police approached me and produced for bail in court, later after one month i went again and charge sheet was submitted . after that there is no info...no notice no police phone...before that they used to call me every day.
What if i am unknowingly missing the court proceedings and one fine day they arrest me
every one says its nothing n very small thing..but am afraid due to social image as i work for a big comp at senior position.

If there was no hurt caused to any person sitting in the car, the only charge made out is u/s 279 IPC. As and when the police submits the charge sheet you would be given a notice thereof. It is a trivial matter. The court will let you off with a fine

Dear Mr Davessar,
Thanks for replying my concern but somehow missed my point.
The charge sheet submitted that time only and almost one yar now.
i didnt get any notice or call from police or court after that.
i am worried if i am missing any thing and one day it will blast.
at the same time do not want to dig old case if already died its own death.
to answer your point no one was hurt it was just a touch and off kind of accident.
not even a dent on both the car.

Get the case closed in Lok Adalat and/or u/s 265 B Cr. PC
