simply means both the parties are heard, their evidence is recorded. full opportunity is given to both parties to proves their points and argue the matter.

it means that matter is not compromised or settled amicably or dismissed for default for non attendance of the parties.

it also means that judgment is given with proper application of judicial maind without any bais of favouritism.
