Dear All,
I am presently living in Luanda, Angola. I provided guaranteed to my company to relieve one of my friend on emergency situations. I got it in writing from him that on a given due date he will return the money. After reaching India he is not responding to my attempts to get back my money. I am attaching the the written document accepted by him. Please guide me what can be my legal stand at India.
My help to my friend made me to suffer. Please provide your advice to proceed further.

why should he respond your call.
he is not a fool. why should he recognise you.
Now you are liable to pay the company as per guarantee and you can later sue him.

This is general tenancy in response to such help.
Whether he is having any full and final settlement amount with the company, if yes ask the company to keep on hold such proceeds.

the liability of the guarantor is co-extensive of principal debtor. you need to pay the company if PD defaults, however, you are entitled to sue him for recovery of the amount paid by you.
