Do not give up. Go ahead with your work as usual. As time pases, everything will be alright. It would always be there in the beginning and vanish with the passage of time. Wish you all the very best.God bless you.

Do not lose heart.Be bold. Keep up appearing before courts. Also,Stand before mirror and try to imagine that you are before a judge. Try to speak and argue.Secondly, do yoga especially pranayama. That helps.

As a former cricketer and umpire, I was taught by my seniors to stick on three basic things while facing the ball as a batsman. 1. Proper Hand - Eye Co-ordination
2. Balanced position distributing your body weight evenly on the ground while playing a shot.
3. Keeping your head Still at any point of time.

I tried to practice this theory even in a real life scenario which includes debate, speech, meditation, software development, browsing LCI, etc. The same principle can be applied in facing a Judge in a court like:

1. Co-ordination between tongue and mind.
2. Equally balanced in your argument infusing logic and specific to legal point.
3. Absolutely focussed on the case matters without getting diverted or distracted by anything in front of you in the court.

Hope Shreyaji can try this same formula and post experience. Things would become very normal in due course of time. All the best.

I have also faced same problem despite being a lawyer's son. My father never helped me. He let me alone to fight with the situations. Which was fruitful for me.

I recall may first day that my first application was for release of vehicle which was rejected on the moment. I got very nervous and felt humiliated. It was because I was poor about the relevant law and was not prepare for rejection and for further remedy.

Later I experienced that the first thing is knowledge. What ever you put before court go in to the root of matter, go with the relevant section and law, consult with seniors. It would prepare you for every result because you would have acquainted with all aspect of the matter.

One thing also bear in mind, that those who are before us may not know what you know. Because no body can be called master of this field. Press your request or argument politely.

So don't get disappointed. The honorable judges seems to be very harsh but they do cooperate with juniors.

shivering and stammering are good signs dear.

judge is a person who never dared to be a lawyer (except directly appointed HC judge)

if you are confident about the facts of your case then need not to be afraid of a judge.

keep your cool and when you enter the court simply feel like only you know every thing rest all are donkeys including judge.......that what I used to do in my early days.

All the learned friends well explained the situation of Junior Advocate on the first day in his practice / or/ in early days .

In early days every advocate will face the same situation , but when we feel that We know more than judge about the case facts, all the confusions are removed. Certainly as advocate for a party in a case you Know better than others and also the judge about the Facts of the case, then apply the law provisions to the Facts and pray for the relief claimed in the case.

Try in mock court with friends and you will get confidence.

But if you prepare well the problems will vanish.

I absolutely agree with Mr. Shashikumar. If you have done your homework properly i.e. you studied your case properly, then you have nothing to fear about.

Pls conduct a court module among your friends. Ask any body to represent the prosecution case. you take the defense side. Argue for a case. Take a video with your mobile camera. Observe your arguments. But for the drama take up a real live case, preferably your own client's case.
This drama will help you to over come your fear.
