(Querist) 17 November 2016 This query is : Resolved
Our neighbour and his relatives used foul language, threatened to kill using vehicle and manhandled us (60 aged widow mother and two sons) with related to dispute of a property boundary and pathway. Mother gave complaint to police, but no action from them since one month. What to do now? Please advice.

Let the police take their own time to investigate the matter and do the needful.

By the way, how do you know that the police has not taken any action and also, what action do you want the police to do against your neighbour?
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 18 November 2016
FIR has been Registered? Than police would take action.
naskar (Querist) 18 November 2016

You have every right to get the justice. If the police is not responding or not taking action, then you can file a private complaint in the court under sec. 156 (3) of CRPC. Appoint a good lawyer and go ahead.

Wait for some time.

Can use RTI to get the fate of your application.

Can meet higher officials of the police.

If still no action, file direct complaint with the magistrate.

yes as suggested by experts you have to wait some time otherwise you can get the remadey by court as pointed by expert Mr Yogen
