Noc of neighbors for rera registration in rajasthan

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 30 September 2024 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I want to join a real estate group as a sales person. And thus needs a police verification for RERA registration. But no neighbor of my gali is interested in signing the noc form for police verification as they get worried when the police name comes. I have lived there for 30 plus years since childhood.... good terms with almost all neighbors. Can't the police verify on its own.

you cannot force your neighbors to vouch for you or to give NOC if police visits for inquiry on the basis of your application.
If you have lived around 30 years in the same street and have not made any friends in the last 30 years, then it is pity on you for living in an isolate situation all these years. However no legal opinion can be rendered on this subject.

Respected Sir... with all due regards... I would like to say that I'm here for a solution., not for someones pity. However this noc wasn't applicable earlier... so people are unaware and mostly people wants to jeep themselves away from legal matters( hope you know this better than me)...but that doesn't mean that don't possess good relationship with my neighbors. They all are good and me too.... you can't judge me on this petty issue... that they're not ready to sign it today... I'll get that done tomorrow... all I wanted was a little comforting and knowledge... but it's a big pity what I received here 😔...
Help someone... please don't tont upon someone's issue... Sorry if I have said something extra... but You should give advice not comment... Being a professional... anyways thanks a lot sir... please don't mind

your own question suggested that nobody from your own street where you are living for 3 decades are not willing to help you in this matter, besides this is not a legal matter to suggest you any legal option or solution, these are practical situation where you have to decide about next course of action if you are not able to gather support from your neighbors. Remember you cannot force anyone to support or help you in any matter without any reason.
This forum no doubt is a portal rendering legal opinions on legal issues at free of cost but that does not mean that anyone can raise any question which has no legal issues at all.

I'm really thankful to you sir. You showed me the right path and also motivated for what to do next. I admit it was my mistake to post this silly matter which is not at all any issues. However I am obliged that a great professional has helped me out and cleared my doubts. God Bless You Sir... and now I don't have any confusions or issues. Thanks a lot for your generous support and valuable time to help me out Sir. Have a great day ahead. I will always be indebted to you sir for your help and support.

You are welcome for your understanding and appreciations.
You may take considered decision based on the prevailing situation at your end.

To my understanding, police officials have no authority to certify the character of a citizen. Their remit in issuing the NOC is restricted to the aspects of criminal investigations and any action connected therewith. As such, the signing of the NOC by the neighbours is an executive overreach.
