The nominee is not the leal heir by vrtue of nominaton only. So with the death of your grandfather(presuming he died intestate) the said money would be equally divided amongst his legal heirs. If his legal heirs include your mother too then after her death her due share would be again divided amongst her legal heirs.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (Expert) 22 December 2010
Mr.Barman is correct and to get the money of your grand father's A/C succession certificate has to be obtained from the court.
Parthasarathi Loganathan (Expert) 22 December 2010
Bank will settle the claims based on Succession Certificate issued by the court.
Ajay Bansal (Expert) 22 December 2010
L.R of your mothe will get the property in question.
s.subramanian (Expert) 22 December 2010
Adv.Archana alone is right. When the nominee predeceases the depositor, the legal heirs of the depositor will be entitled to the proceeds.
