Hi,
I am staying in a Paying Guest accommodation in Noida for the past 15 days. The person operating the PG (who is not the owner of the building which is used as a PG) asked me to shift to a different building today, also operated as a PG by her. I refused for personal reasons (small room, far from the main road etc). After trying to convince me for some time, she asked me to vacate the PG within a week as I was firmly refusing to make the shift.
I think 1 week notice for vacating a rented place is not right. Shouldn't it be something more appropriate like 1 month? Surely there should be a law defining this duration?
I do not have any agreement with her. I paid 1 month security/advance and 1 month rent when I started staying here

Refuse to vacate in the given period and let her proceed before the court of law.
