Hi i got married to a guy but after 2days of marriage i got to know my husband alredy got married 2years back and has a dowry case running on him from his previous wife that means he hasn't got devorce yet and my marriage can be null n void as he is having a dowry case does it mean he is not devorced or he is?kindly suggest.....as he says my devorce has happened but my lawyer says if he is having a dowry case on him he is not a devorce and the marriage happened with you is not valid.....please suggest

Running of dowry case is no confirm / solid proof that he is not divorced. Get the information.

If he has married without divorce, he can be in trouble. Criminal case of bigamy etc. can be registered against him.

The person that married you can show his divorce decree.

You can verify if it is genuine.

Your marriage is void with this person though you are entitled to maintenance from him.

If there is no valid divorce his marriage is void and a petition of nullity can be filed.

If there is no valid divorce you can be accused of bigamy if continue to live with him (you keep proving spending substantial part of money and life to prove that you never knew about previous marriage. Better not to live on mercy of his previous wife who can have both of you in.

If there is no valid divorce the he induced you to live with him as wife for two days after falsely making him to believe that the marriage is lawful. You can allege rape on him which is proved on record.
