I have resumed my work after availing the Maternity Leave period. Now how can I take benefit of nursing breaks? As per the Maternity Benefit Act, the 15 mins. break is possible for those companies who have the provision of a creche. But my Company does not have provision of any creche . My quarter is approx. 3 kms from my workplace. Is it possible to ask for time consession??

You can only be provided such facility during lunch hour and not more than that as per law but pray management to provide at least 3 breaks during a day for 45 minutes each for a period of 4 months.

you may club your lunch period asking break , so can get enough time to feed child. You may have to arrange to bring child nearby, and can avail 15 minutes.
as no provision for creche, you may apply, throgh your union, /personally, to give you short absence for 4 months, and offer to adjust that period by deducting your cl, PL or wages.
