Obc caste certificate for upsc

I am preparing for civil service exam. My family belongs to UP(Uttar Pradesh) and I was born there. Since I was 2.5 years old, we settled in Delhi. I did my schooling in delhi. Now I am in Bangalore since 2009.
Now my question is, where should I apply for certification means in Bangalore /UP/Delhi ?
I will use my Xth certificate for date of birth, which I did in Delhi.
I am asking this question because, one person had raised the similar point as his certificate was rejected by UPSC. Below is the URL for the same.

Apply in Delhi, where you did your schooling i.e., up to X std. This should solve your problem

Hi Rajendra,
My Parents lives in Delhi, however they belongs to UP. My father is having OBC certificate from UP. Even I have OBC(state, now need center OBC certificate)certificate from UP.
I born in UP, while studied in delhi, including Xth class.

No, I have not visited Tehsil office so far, Currently I am in bangalore, Jayaraj suggested that I should apply from Delhi.

Your query is not lega lit is on the procedure which can be better explained by clerks (even Sr Peon) of Tehsil office. ity is not their first of last case.
SO since the advise here is free you will treat the experts here as spokes person of Tehsil staff.

An OBC in UP need not necessarily be the OBC in Delhi or Karnataka states also. You need to check list of OBCs of the particular states for which cadre you opted for the services.

You have stated that you are only preparing now for appearing in the civil services examination but have not applied yet. Please be aware that the OBC certificate issued by the concerned revenue department will be valid for a stipulated period only after that you have to get it afresh once again. It is better you apply for the certificate in UP itself since your community will fall under the list of OBC in UP.
