Offered different job posts

(Querist) 09 November 2016 This query is : Resolved
Respected Sir/Madam,

Greetings!!

I have a query related to employment. I hope to receive valuable suggestions from the expertise.

Recently I have been selected for a job in an Information Security firm. I have received an offer letter through an email from firm's HR.
As per joining date, I have reported on the venue(in a different state) for the remaining formalities and to receive the appointment letter.

After receiving the appointment letter, I found that the job description which was mentioned in at e-mail is different from the one which is mentioned in the appointment letter.

Due to this discrepancy, I have not signed any document/bond with the firm as I am expecting the job offer for the post which was mentioned in E-mail.

Am I eligible to take any kind of actions from my side?

I request all the expertise to provide me their valuable guidance that how should I proceed further.

Thanks in advance. :)

Harsh before signing offer letter u need to cheque it.

You have legal right to do job of your choice.

If the company is not amending the terms of appointment, avoid to join the concern.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 09 November 2016
Record the objection in writing under proper acknowledgment.

Were you paid any expenses for joining?

Why were you asked to sign Bond? Was it narrated in interview call letter, offer letter?

Did you leave current employment before joining?

Has your resignation been accepted and you been relieved?

Find out a job for you.
Sit with elders/family/employee's union-Trade union leaders, your own counsel specializing in Labor/service matters ..............decide the expenses/compensation that you want to claim and write under proper acknowledgment.

Pursue and you may be offered some compensation.

Rajendra K Goyal (Expert) 11 November 2016
In given facts again repeated, do not join such job and search for another.

If in dire need of job, try to negotiate and avoid signing bond.
Kumar Doab (Expert) 11 November 2016
If you don't transact in writing under proper acknowledgment company may simply record your declinature and close the matter.

Transact in writing under proper acknowledgment.
