Does an affidavit prepared in 1993 needed be notarised that time, and if not done, then the legality of document stands nil?
The affidavit was prepared for the name transfer of a rented property from fathers name to his 1 son and name bearing signatures of all other remaining sons and daughters confirming their NOC.
Was notory compulsory in 1993 in the state of Maharashtra??

If all signatories still stand by their signatures then such document is still admissible even if the same is not notarized but if the situation is otherwise, it becomes a disputed document which requires to be affirmed from civil court only.
There is no issue whether it was notarized or not or whether there was compulsion of notarization in Maharashtra during the relevant period.

Thank you mr. raj for replying back.
Does standing by signature means, incase there is any verification done, then the signatories have to confirm for signing it.
Which means, there is a risk of exposure involved??
