Original title deed of site alloted by govt lost

Original title deed of my father's site(alloted by govt) was submitted to court about 25 years back for some case. The case was disposed 20 years ago but haven't got back original papers. One advocate told that court has destroyed the documents. I just know case number and have some photocopies of khata, tax receipts. What's the remedy? Can I get certified copy of tile deed?

Certified copy can be obtained from the authority allotted the property.

Sir from the authority or from sub registrar? I have photocopy of registered lease cum sale deed. Is CC of that enough for future transactions like bank load, khatha, plan approval?

Certified Copy of documents will not be valid or Legally treated as Original Documents

To get a Legally Valid documents you have to follow some procedures 1) Filing a Police Complaint regard to Missing Documents. and obtaining FIR. 2) News Paper advt regarding Missing Document 3) obtaining Up To Encumbrance Certificate from Registrar for the concerned property with all this you should file a suit in the concerned Court. And the court would call for the concerned Registrar and Police and after the verification with them the concerned Court would endorse the Certified Copy Of Documents with Court Seal and then on wards it would be treated as Original

Sir it was not lost by me. My dad(allottee) had submitted the originals to court few years back to some civil case. Now the original file is untraceable in court.

Dear querist, your father was given an assigned land by the Government. so it requires NOC from the District Collector concerned to transfer the property. As it was allotted by Govt through DC, the copy of proceedings may be obtained from Collector's office but it is not easy to traceable in collector office. But try hardly. Best of luck.

Even if the documents are lost in court you can still get the certified copy from registration office.

In my understanding, the facts stated are confused. On the one hand you say that you do not know the case details, then how are in the know that the documents are lost. Further, when the land has been assigned by the Government, how come the question of registration? Lands granted by the Sovereign do not require any registration. Then how come the question of sale deed etc.?
