Hi,
I am living separated from my husband for 4 years. I have a minor daughter . I wish to apply for passport and visa for her so that i can take her with me when i am on business travel. We are not legally separated yet. We have not been in touch with each other all these years. He does not come to visit our daughter as well. Is it possible for me to apply for passport after signing the annexure C stating that i am a single parent ? Are there any legal complications on this ?
Is it better to get separated legally through divorce so that getting passport/visa process is simple ?

Dear Querist according to passport rules both of you should execute the annexure, annexure c will not be applicable in your case, feel free to call

Thanks all for the reply. What is the right way to sort it out ? Should i get divorsed first before proceeding in this ? My husband will not be interested in signing any papers for my daughter's passport and visa . Also i have still not updated my marital status in my passport. Is that mandatory to get a passport for my child ?
