Pay fixation on promotion in psu

Sir,
I have been promoted from grade E-5 (pay scale 32,900-3%-58,000) to grade E-6 (pay scale Rs. 36,600-3%-62,000) w.e.f 01.06.2018. My current Basic Rs.40,490/-. Employer has given advised to exercise option within one month from the date of promotion to have the pay fixed under FR 22(1)(a)(1) from the date of promotion or to have the pay fixed initially at the stage of the time -scale of the post of promoted post above the pay in the post held before promotion, which may be re-fixed on the date of accrual of next increment in the scale of pay of the post before promotion. My increment date is 1st July every year.
Can anyone suggest me with example which option would be better for me?.

It is not a legal query and you cannot expect to get any solution from others, even you give your full particulars, including ID, when the above finance related advisor could not provide you any solution.
