Police protection to the accused on his expenses!

(Querist) 06 September 2013 This query is : Resolved 
Can the Court (Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate) grant police security to the Accused on his expenses if the Accused seeks the same in the court where the Criminal proceedings are going on and if then under which law?

OR

He has to move the concerned High Court for the said relief?
