Hello, My father has a business and due to old age and diseases he got a POA made in the court on Rs.100/- stamp paper and got it notarial registered. But recently one of my friends told me that POA has to be registered. I am from Mumbai and he told me that it is done at the registrars office.
Can you please advice whether the one which my father has made is valid or will i have to prepare a duly registered POA at the registrar.

Notarised POA is also very much valid and effective. Only of you need to see a property of your father, then you need a registered POA.

notarised poA is valid . registration is mandatory only if you have to buy , sell property on behalf of your father
