Powers of Private Security Staff at Malls and Toll Roads

Dear All,

Kindly enumerate with relevant sections and case law if any whether the security mechanism at Metro, Malls and Toll Road can detect, investigate, punish, impose and realise fine (monetary) and further the fine so realized shall liable to be remitted to public exchequer of becomes its own property.

no. they have no such powers. if they indulge in such acts,they can be prosecuted for extortion,misappropriation and cheating. they can be proceeded against for abuse of police powers.
