Procedure to form a society

Respected sir ,
Here we have few friends who are interested in forming a non profitable society for developing and propagating Buddhist religion , I have few queries it would be great-full to you if some one please advice.
1)Minimum no of members required for forming society.
2)Registration fees and other formalities
3)Required documents.
4)what are the rules and regulations.

Consult local lawyer or local Registrar office having jurisdiction. Stamp fee differ state to state.

Regn.of such institution will be governed by Society Registration Act,1860 as amended up to date. Inspector General of Registration of concerned state is the appropriate authority in this case. You have prepare a Bye- law of the proposed institution in consultation with a local lawyer,who will guide you to comply with necessary formalities applicable in your state.
