Hi All Professionals and Experts,
This is Gurpreet singh doing CA Final, i want to ask the procedure to get duplicate Property papers namely Allotment letter and Possession Letter. I live in DDA flat which was allotted to my Grandfather and he had taken a loan on this house. But now he is not alive and a few years back we have repaid the loan amount of the Delhi Finance Housing Society.
Now i want to get my flat as freehold but for this i need original papers of my house which i don't have with me, it has misplaced somewhere else
Please suggest me the way to get duplicate of my Property Docs.

At the time of sanctioning loan to your grandfather, that institute who given loan keep the original documents and sanction loan. so ask them. you may obtain from Delhi Finance Housing Society also. make an application through RTI.

Consult the financing institution to return the original documents after getting the application signed from all the legal heirs and completing the required procedure.
You may consult the DDA office for getting the Duplicate papers.

Go in for issue of a heirship Certificate in your name by the SDM/Dy Commissioner of the area where your grand-father resided at the time of his death. After getting that, approach the Delhi Finance Housing Society for handing over to you the papers deposited by your grandfather.Then approach DDA for its freehold conversion.
