My grandfather was a government employee and died in the year 1974. He has two sons. My grandmother died in the year 2013.
My grandfather had some self earned property and some grand father's mother property.
My father got my grandfather's job after his death in the year 1981. Now my father's brother is saying that all my grandfather's property will be his property , since my father got grandfather's job.
Please let us know what the law says about this.

hi,
It seems that your father has been appointed under compassionate grounds.Appointment on compassionate ground is given by the govt to support the family which lost its breadwinner.Simply because your father was given the job ,he can not be deprived of his share in his father's self earned as well as ancestral property.Try to make your fathers brother to understand the position of law with elders and settle the dispute, in spite of that he takes the same stand ,you better consult a civil side advocate and file suit for partition.

Appointment in place of deceased employee (Compassionate appointment) is separate from the right in the property of the deceased. Your father's brother can not deny the share of your father in the property of your grand parents.
