Property share among brothers!

Hi Friends,

I am a farmer staying with my mothers(not alive 4 acre(no partition between me and my brother), and earned 8acres land and two sites,

I have one brother he is away from us on Govt service past 30 years.

Now he is asking 50-50 share in my property and my mother property?

Is it legal???

in respect of your mother property he is entitled to a share . as fara s your own earned property is concerned he cannot claim any share

Yes!in mothers property he can claim.

In property beingin your name he might be asking as he might have supported you with funds to buy but now the fellow is on your kindness.
