DEAR SIR,
CAN ANY TELL ME THAT WHY THE UNION GOVERNMENT DOES NOT MAKE MANDTORY THE FOLLOWINGS:
1. EVERY ADVOCATE, IF HE/SHE IS ALLOWED/LICENSED TO PRACTICE MUST MENTION HIS/HER BAR COUNCIL REGISTRATION NO. ON THE DOCUMENTS WHENEVER HE IS GIVING ANY SERVICES IN LIEU OF FEES/MONEY.
2. EVERY DOCTOR MUST MENTION HIS/HER REGISTRATION NO. ON THE PRESCRIPTION DOCUMENTS WHENEVER HE IS GIVING ANY SERVICES IN LIEU OF FEES/MONEY.
WHY THE BAR COUNCIL OF INDIA OF SUPREME COURT AS WELL AS OF HIGH COURTS/DISTRICT COURTS + MEDICAL COUNCIL OF INDIA AS WELL AS INDIAN MEDICAL ASSOCIATION AND THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA DO NOT MAKE SUCH PRACTICES MANADATORY AND PUNSHIBLE IF NOT PROVIDED.
I SHALL BE GRATEFUL IF ANYONE THROWS SOME LIGHT ON THESE ISSUES.

These professions are noble profession.It does not make any sense whether registration number is given or not.

DUE TO SHEET APATHY.
Even if one is made to indicate these Numbers, there is no mechanism to cross verify the same. WE HAVE 'SAB CHALTA HAI' attitude.

It is a good idea to identify the real legal practitioner.
You can cross check the number with the MCI or BCI.

And even all these details are mentioned what benefit will be there to public.
Apart from nobility the advocate has to know every thing about you which even your spouse may not know. If in such confident relations you will bring legality and than how he can help you. It will be just like a pebble in ice-cream.

IN U.P. MENTIONING OF ENROLLMENT NO. IN EVERY VAKALATMA IS COMPULSORY. I THINK, IT MUST BE IN OTHER STATE ALSO.

It is mandatory to file Registration numbers in Petition/ Letters/ Visiting cards here in Delhi.
Even I have filing the list of other Advocates who are engaged with me along with their registration numbers as they have been on roll of my Law Firm.

what purpose it will serve, unless there is method to cross check. In this electronic age smart if card is given, matter could be different, till then wait buddy.
