Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 09 November 2010 This query is : Resolved
Hi,

I got married this year and it was love cum arrange marriage. My mother-in-law is torturing me by saying that i married her son just for their property. My husband is very supporting. Can i prepare a stamp paper and mention there that i do not want any property nor any money from his mother? I want to live a peacefull life. please suggest.

It is foolish on your part to do any such thing. Just do not bother. So long as you are not eyeing for the property keep cool. (I know it is easier said than done, yet I would like you not to react.). Do not carry these tales to your Husband either. As you say that your husband is very supportive be satisfied with it. Don't bother by the utterances of your MIL, though you should never forget to give proper respect to her. Only your patience will solve the situation. Nothing else.

Mr.Ramu's contribution to this section is phenomenal. I must state here that he is one of the few experts who not only spends his valuable time to go through the queries in depth and give his elaborate straight forward opinion but also puts things in simple perspective even on issues where there is no room for legal solutions. In this way, he is directly involved in minimization of court cases and litigations. At least, I have a company in Mr.Ramu. Hats off to him. Keep going.

Best leave the mother-in-law's house & live with your husband elsewhere.
