Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 19 November 2011 This query is : Resolved

Dear experts,

I am currently facing impotency test in a medical board. All physical tests conducted on my potency have come out normal. Now, they have referred me to psychiatric doctor.

I would like to know, what might psychiatric tests involve? what would he test, question, etc?

If someone have idea, please let me know.

thanks

Male impotence and erectile dysfunction are caused by a variety of psychiatric and physical conditions, but it is possible to experience impotence without any physical symptoms.

Psychiatric Symptoms
Anxiety, stress, guilt, fatigue, relationship issues, feelings, depression, and sexual scenarios may cause impotence, without any apparent physical signs or distress. Men handle emotional and psychiatric problems differently.

Anxiety is the leading cause of impotence when no physical ailments exist. Men become anxious for various reasons, such as performance issues in the bedroom and physical issues (penile length or girth). Outside variables, such as anxiety about work or school, can be the culprit of impotence if extenuating circumstances exist. Stress, while documented separately, is usually associated with anxiety.
Managing stress is essential to reducing the symptoms of impotence, because our bodies do not function properly when stress receptors are triggered.

Men who feel guilty about having sexual intercourse before marriage often experience guilt, which in severe cases, leads to male impotence. People feel guilty about sex for a variety of reasons, with religion, culture, and family pressure looming as the top concerns. Fatigue is another leading cause of impotence, as the trials and tribulations of life usually catch up to you. Men, who are tired whether mentally or physically, are not inclined to perform well sexually.

In a broader sense, relationship and sexual issues are major causes of male impotence. Power, trust, and intimacy are main psychological triggers that cause impotence. At the same time, one's feeling about their spouse or partner can negatively affect their sexual response. Other problems associated with impotence include clinical depression, sexual innuendos, as well as various situations that occur as part of life.

INTEREST, DESIRE, AROUSAL,ORGASM,
SATISFACTION,ACTIVITY,RELATIONSHIP, MASTURBATION,etc.

There are several type of test designed and it is hard to anticipate the doctor to examine you practices which of the test theory.
