Sir can I purchase riyayti /khatyani land from a person who belongs from sc /st in bihar.

I think there is no bar or restriction to purchase the land from a SC/ST, if the land is ancestral.

1. Govt. alloted /gifted /transferred Agricultural Land, to SC /ST /others, "CANNOT" be sold or purchased, without following due documentary proceedures, at the local Collectors office.

generally agricultural land of SC/ST cannot be purchased b general category person. In case such sale is set aside the land is restored to the SC/ST and under the law the cost paid to him cannot be recovered by you.

So check local law before jumping with money.
