if she is willing to cooperate for quash proceedings then what compensation she demands is irrelevant. As govt servant it is lucky gift to you.

If you want peace of mind go for Mutual Consent Divorce and put an end to all the issues

If you are not govt employee as you said and if you have sufficient time and money you could contest the case and spend your time and money in court.

You are fighting the case for the last ten years, apparently through some lawyer, but without making a mention of the opinion of your own lawyer asking question from the members of this forum, who don't know anything about your case.
Please tell what is the opinion of your own lawyer, and what exact doubt you have got on that and why you can't rely on your own lawyer's advice? Otherwise, your query is nothing, except purely an academic question.

compromise has been done. divorce us 13b has been filed. application for compromise has been filed in court where 498a, 406 is pending. court has allowed compromise in 406 and rejected in 498a. now we r going to high Court for further course of action. thats why i want to know difference between quash of fir in 498a and quash of criminal proceedings or request to high court for make it compoundable. what is the meaning of these 3 terms. and what will be better for me. pl guide.

You have still not clarified, why you have not asked question to your lawyer, who fought for you for the last ten years, and if asked, what was his reply.

If you are willing to have amicable settlement, then go for MCD and end the issue to start a new life.

sir,
my name is already wrote in my question.
secondly i asked to my lawyer but he did not clarify difference between quash of fir and quash of criminal proceedings and withdraw of 498a with the permission of high Court.
as already mentioned that
a) compromise has already done.
b) MCD has already been filed.
only want to know how end the 498a matter, my wife is ready to help for dispose 498a.
pl. suggest what will be the best option for me
1) go for quash of fir in 498a
2) go for quash of criminal proceedings. or
3) ask for permission to make it compoundable from high Court.
pl. suggest.
some of experts are mentioned 'academic query' but its not. i m not a lawyer or student of law.but a sufferer from the law since long and bit a educated person. thats why asking for this. i know it very well that asking of this kind of query by a non-lawyer hurts. i know its very well as i have a long experience of it.
pl suggest if you want to help a sufferer. i don't want to hurt law experts.
