Quashing of defamation complaint

Dear Experts,
Can I file Petition before High Court Mumbai for Quashing of Private Criminal Complaint U/s. 500 of IPC for defamation, filed against innocent person before Judicial Magistrate Mumbai which is pending since 5 years.
Under which Writ? Sections of CrPC?

Please Guide.

Yiu can do so u/s 482 of crpc.
This is very basic knowledge and not expected from you unless your are a fresher in this profession.

You can file a quash petition u/s 482 cr.p.c.

Writ petition is maintainable when there is no other provision of law is there to protect the rights of the petitioner.
