It is Indian Railways Act 1989. Sec 143 Refers to being in Other services Like Selling Railway Tickets while in Railway Service.The Punishment Could be Fine of Rs 10000/- Or Imprisonment up to 3 years Or both.There could No bar to Practice as Advocate Once he/she is Out Of Service.

Sir one my friend has completed BA.LLB and he wants to continue practicing in court but the fact is on him Indian railway act 1989 sec 143 has been imposed on him and he has been convicted under section 143 of Indian railway act 1989. My question is can he practice??

Now case has been closed by imposing convection. He has paid the penalty rs 10k and the case was over.
