estate agent can be a member. he is not barred by law to be member. when you r staying that society and if you r owner of the flat you are bound to be memeber of the society. As far as your office bearers are concerned no two members from same family can be office bearers like secratry and President or treasurer etc. even they are not legally bound not to be but infact they wont keep but in many societies the brothers are office holders . it depends. time bound membership is accepted and can be given and after that penalty is charged .

1) yes agree with mr rajkumar laxman no bar on estate agent becoming a member of managing committee if he is owning a flat in society
2)no harm in 2 brothers being members of managing committee 3)whether any resolution has been passed laying down period within which applications for associate membership will be accepted

However i would like to know whether the secretary can take a period of one month to accept and approve the application ......
Can it not be done before that ?
What is the minimum period required for the acceptance and approval of the application of an associate member .
Also can a estate agent owning a flat become a Secretary , treasurer etc in the commitee ......
