We are a security service company and some ex-customers are refusing to pay money due to us by claiming service was not satisfactory.

Issue notice to pay the balance amount, if they didn't respond to your notice then file a suit for recovery of money.

sir,

it is a simple recovery matter in case the service taker has not objected on the quality of service during the tenure of services provided. One can claim it is court by proving that the services asked/contracted have been rendered and they were satisfactory in nature.

for claiming money you have to file suit for recovery.

You say some ex-customers are refusing. What is the service contract between you and them? Have you fulfilled all your obligations as per the contract? Whether the contract is terminated if so on what basis? How much time is over from termination of contract? A proper advice will come from the experts if you reveal the full facts.
Kirti Kar Tripathi (Expert) 14 February 2011
in every event for claiming amount, the security service company has to file suit for recovery, if matter is not mutually settled.
M V Gupta (Expert) 14 February 2011
please note that any suit for reovery the amounts should be filed within a period of 3 years from the date of default. Otherwise your claim will become time barred.
