dear sir,

i hv given official money to someone and assign government work, since he did not complete and finally we have cancelled the work, now we are asking money back.... But he is not responding
shld i go ahead for FIR

It is a civil case for specific performance of the contract and/or recovery of money paid, with consequential damages and mesne profits.
However, complaint/FIR for cheating, criminal breach of trust and forgery can be lodged.

What do you mean by OFFICIAL money, when your profile does not speak about any official designation, rather shows as OWNER of some business?
