The principal has executed a G.P.A., and due to typographical error in the property schedule the mandal name is forthcoming wrongly and now the principal who executed registered G.P.A., in India at Sub-Register Office is residing at Abroad.
Process for rectification of the Registered G.P.A., is required to be known or any other better alternate option, if available kindly suggest.

Two options are - 1. The principal may execute a deed of rectification of the GPA abroad in the presence of Consul General of India duly attested by the CG and send it over to u. On receiving the rectification deed u will have to get it stamped with Indian stamp duty as per ur state law and register it within 4 months of receipt with the Sub Registrar.
The second option is the principal may execute a fresh GPA abroad duly attested by CG with correct schedule and send it over to u which again will have to be stamped on receipt and registered as stated above. This GPA should state specifically that it is executed in supersession of the earlier GPA and also save the actions taken by the agent under the old GPA.
