My husband filed divorce case & guardianship case for my daughter. I want to claim admission fees & educational expense other than the maintenance amount. I already filed a maintenance case yet to receive any order. How will I claim the admission & educational expense other than the maintenance? Kindly suggest.

Since the child is with you you file a separate petition for child's admission fee and other educational expenses pending orders on maintenance petition.As the father is a natural Guardian of the child he has to bear the educational expenses of the child.

Thanks Ms kapoor for your valuable suggestion. I filed interim maintenance, yet to receive any order. Kindly suggest if I can claim admission & educational expense in the guardianship case.

Yes! you can file a separate petition for admission and educational expense in guardianship case.

The spouse can claim maintenance for self and children that includes educational expenses of child(ren).
The court may ask both spouses to share bear the cost of education and the maintenance for child(ren).
