Sir one land am planning to purchase from the mentioned person the following points are the land details
1. Father (from whom iam purchasing) purchased land from some body in 1982 and after that he has given to his daughters as a gift deed ( son is there but he is not good person so he has given to daughters) in 2005 and the same gift deed is cancelled in 2011 and in that mentioned 2011 document property belongs to father only .

1. My doubts are whether can i purchase that land and what documents to be collected?
2. Gift deed cancellation is done by register office sale deed is there and any court involvement required for cancellation?

First consult your local lawyer and get all the documents specially the gift deed and cancellation deed scrutinized by him. After his green signal you can proceed.

There is provision of law to cancel a gift deed duly registered and the donee is put in possession.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 09 February 2015
The gift deed once made and registered, will require both the donee and the donor to jointly cancel the same or revoke the same or else the gift cannot be cancelled. Please consult a local lawyer , take his proper opinion and then think about moving ahead with the decision to purchase of the said property.
