Regarding notorised gpa and sale

Mr X sold a site to Mr Y via notorised GPA and affidavit in 1990. Mr Y executed sale deed to his wife on behalf of Mr X as a GPA representative in 1995. But in the sale deed there is no signature or thumb impression of Mr X.
from 1995 Mr X's wife is holding the property, paying taxes and have katha in her name till date
now my Question is can Mr X in any manner claim the rights of property.
Mr X is looking to sale the site in a illegal manner. does he hold any rights to sale the property. what should be the action taken by Mr Y in order to protect the property.
what is the minimum duration of possession of land in order to become absolute owner of land

contact a local lawyer . whether power of attorney is duly stamped? whether under power of attorney power to sell property is given ?

if property has been sold in 1990 by Mr x why did you not transfer property in your name for 22 years?

it is necessary to submit document for regsitration . before mr x does any thing illegal get property tarnsferred in your name on basis of power of attorney .

yes the notorised GPA is duly stamped(i can see two 5 rupees NOTORIAL stamps on GPA document)
for further clarification Mr Y is my father.. Mr X via notorised GPA and affidavit sold it to my father in 1990and In 1995 my father executed registered sale deed to my mother. we have been holding the site in my mother's name form 1995. we hold the katha in my mother's name and have been paying taxes from 1995.
So can Mr X do any illegal thing(like cancelling GPA or files any other possible case to acquire the land back)
will Mr X cancelling the notorised GPA now (in 2012) will make the past sale deed void or it is still valid.
Mr X is still alive

The land is 30x40 site in bangalore.. now comes under BBMP limits.. hold the BBMP katha in my mother's name.
