Regarding Passport Application

I have to apply for a fresh passport.My permanent address is at Erode and my temporary address is Chennai.I am working here in Chennai.Is it possible for me to apply for a passport at Erode with my temporary address as Chennai.What are the additional procedures if so?

you can show your erode address as permanent address and chennai as working. Do remember that you have to give your permanent address for passport so that it would be easier to getover the police enquiry

The application itself provided the procedure.

Will it be possible for you to go to Erode for Police Verification. If so no problem. Or else give your address in chennai itself, there won,t any problem.

Keep ur passport from the original address, u may end up in facing some problem like visting ur place for police verification etc....form to be subitted from there only. But u ll find it good after some time.

It is better to follow up your case with the permanent address at Erode only. To avoid further complication always use your correspondence with Erode address. Police verification can be done at Erode itself you can appear whenever call come from the concerned police station.
