i am asking because in my organization we are having 45 employees. we have taken 7 employees as trainee. as informed by my one friend who is having HR experience he said no PF and ESI need to be deducted for trainee. But i am not so sure about it. we do not want to create any problem regarding Pf and ESI to my organization. so if it is compulsory please let me know.

If they are employed as trainees and get stipend for six months/one year, during that period no deduction of PF and ESI. after completion of training and probation, deductions will be made.
