Regarding probate

I have applied for probate in 2010. After one year court told us that my petition is lost. We applied for reconstruction in higher court. After petition was reconstructed two years have passed. Till now issues have not been framed. I have heard that there is a time limit of maximum of two years with regard to granting of Probate. Can we give application to the court to speed up the process? Does the court follow the time bound limit with regard to the above?
