Regarding property on lease

There was a commercial shop property took on lease by my father from Gram panchayat. But after his accidental death, how can this property be transfered to his successors names ? So that the agreement of lease remains and continues till further renewal. Also, currently the Gram panchyat is now converted to Nagar panchayat ( Muncipal panchayat).

Yes, the legal heirs of the tenant are entitled to continue the tenancy.

Submit an application to MC along with Surviving Member Certificate issued by area DM/ SDM for transfer of lease.

You are required to move an application to nagar Panchayat along-with the copy of the lease agreement and death certificate of your father praying therein to change the said lease-agreement in the name of one or more successors of your father on the basis of your mutual consent. After charging nominal amount, the desired action shall be done by Minicipal Authorities.

Is there any prescribed procedure of the Nagar Panchayat in this regard?
If not, move an application to Nagar Panchayat office giving the names of legal heirs for change of names in lease deed. Enclose death certificate, legal heir certificate, copy of lease deed etc. to enable them to proceed.
If the lease is to be transferred in the name of 1-2 legal heirs, others Legal Heirs should submit consent on the lines as required by Nagar Panchayat (simple consent / affidavit / other prescribed format as the case may be).

Not only replacement but it can be got deleted completely but for that purpose, the mind is required to be made not to increase threads unncessarily, which is very difficult exercise for want of more and more score.
