Regarding road tax

(Querist) 20 November 2012 This query is : Resolved 
I have purchased car while working in Goa where I have paid full Road Tax. Now I transferred to Amravati,Maharashtra.Is it necessary to transfer my vehicle to MH state.If so whether I will have to pay Full Tax to Mh Govt again.Being All India cadre,I may again get transfer to other state,what then?

u don't have to pay any road tax. It is pd for lifetime.[Onr time, at time of purchasing ur vehicle.

u need to trf & Register it in MH state , at local RTO authority.

There is no such requirement to pay road tax afresh as the same has already been paid.
