You have to seek recognition from the Ministry of Social Welfare.

Starting a Foundation (service oriented) means a charitable institution. It can be registered in the form of any one of the following:
NGO Registration Methods - 1
1. Trust
2. Society, and
3. Non profit Company
In India non profit / public charitable organisations can be registered as trusts, societies, or a private limited non profit company, under section-25 companies. Non-profit organisations in India (a) exist independently of the state; (b) are self-governed by a board of trustees or ‘managing committee’/ governing council, comprising individuals who generally serve in a fiduciary capacity; (c) produce benefits for others, generally outside the membership of the organisation; and (d), are ‘non-profit-making’, in as much as they are prohibited from distributing a monetary residual to their own members. Either a Registered Cooperative Society or Registered Trust is suitable for your proposed activity. Social Welfare Department will come into picture when you start claiming scholarships to your students. If the mode of spreading the education is formalized into Government recognized courses, you have co-ordinate with the concerned education boards say Board of Secondary Education/Board of Intermediate Education etc. All the best!
