You can go for Registration of Hindu marriage. Hindu marriage will be registered only after marriage is solemnized. so in marriage application you have to mention the name of bride with your Surname. Then marriage certificate will be issued on your surname with your wife name.

Proceed as per Hindu rituals, get it registered later on.

Both should use surname of Husband.

thanks sir, both of u, so u think i should register after actual ritual marriage is solemnized.so u think there is no problem with hindu marriage act for Scheduled Tribe like me and surname to be used of husband, then i have to produce a notary affidavit of bride for changing surname...and what is the implication of special marriage act?

It appears you are more concerned with surname than with marriage! Why?

Special marriage Act applies to marriage of persons of different religions / faiths. I think SC and STs are basically Hindus and follow Hindu customs and traditions as practiced in their communities. If u and ur fiancee are of different faiths then u have to register ur marriage under the Sp. Marriage Act.

thanks venu sir, actually sir i want everything to be done with neat and clean right from the beginning so that i would not face any difficulties in future dealing with any official work like banking, pf, lic, passport, etc. so,i wanted expert advice from the people like u ,sir.
SUMAN TUDU (Querist) 26 April 2016
thanks GUPTA sir, as i already said , i m hindu by religion,so i can register with hindu marriage act. but before that i have to go through actual ritual marriage.

but if i want to go with register marriage ( not marriage registration )before the actual ritual marriage(first registration, then after a couple of months the ritual marriage ceremony) then same ACT will be applied or not?

SO FAR AS I KNOW FOR REGISTERING UNDER HM ACT, U HAVE TO PRODUCE CERTIFICATE FROM THE PUROHIT WHO HAS SOLEMNISED THE MARRIAGE WITH DETAILS OF THE DATE AND PLACE OF MARRIAGE ETC. HENCE RITUALS PRECEDE THE REGISTRATION. HOWEVER U MAY INQUIRE WITH THE REGISTRAR'S OFFICE.
